PLC Nominated for Asia's Best Football League of the Year
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Sport Industry Awards (SPIA)- Asia announced on Thursday that the Pro League Committee is amongst the 10 short-listed nominees for the Best Football League of the Year (Inspiring Category).
The Arabian Gulf League joins some of the top domestic competitions in the continent on the shortlist which included the likes of Japan, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, Australia, China PR, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
The nominees are assessed through 11 categories, including management & administration, financial performance, competition, marketing & promotion and media & communications, among others. The results of the assessment are more focused on administration and management areas of the organisation rather than technical performance of the league.
The top three nominees, who will be announced on a later date, shall receive a direct invitation to the SPIA Conference & Awards 2018 to be held in Bangkok on November 19 & 20.
The PLC had been named the “Best Football Organisation” in the continent in last year’s SPIA-Asia awards.Back to news listing page
